About the Role
We are looking for a senior registered nurse with strong leadership and advanced nursing skills and a strong interest in General Surgery to join our team as Clinical Nurse Specialist in ASU.
You will provide professional and clinical leadership, patient care co-ordination, education and clinical teaching to patients and staff. The role covers primary, secondary and tertiary care of Acute Surgical Unit patients. You will need to work autonomously and as part of a supportive senior nursing team committed to evidenced based nursing practice.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The Acute Surgical Team is unique where all the emergency presentations are initially managed at Te Toka Tumai Auckland City Hospital. It is a large team managing a high volume of patients and provides specialist care and case management to the Acute Surgical patient population it is one of five General Surgical subspecialties.
This is a fulltime fixed term position working 40 hrs/week, Monday to Sunday.
