Auckland District Health Board plays a unique national and regional role providing health and wellbeing services to 545,000 who live in our district as well as offering 19 national specialist healthcare services to all of New Zealanders, which includes transplants, high risk obstetrics and some paediatric services. As a workforce of over 11,000 we strive to offer world-class healthcare and healthier communities.
We have three major facilities Auckland City Hospital, Starship Children’s Hospital and Green Lane Clinical Centre. Auckland City Hospital is New Zealand’s largest public hospital as well as the largest clinical research facility (with over 1200+projects at any given time), playing a key role in advancing national and international research.
