As with our clinicians we’re always looking to transform and innovate, focusing on improving infrastructure, high quality analytics and coding, process improvement and utilising technology by designing easy to use digital solutions to current challenges, allowing our clinician’s to be spending more time with patients, therefore improving patient outcomes.

RMO Handbook: Education at your finger tips

The RMO Handbook provides first-year medical officers with an easier way to navigate information and search for specific material.

OR Scheduler

OR Scheduler is an online portal that enables service managers, OR managers, surgeons and the production planning department to have full visibility over operating theatres in use now and in the future. The OR scheduler aims to minimise unused sessions through technology to enable the efficient exchange of OR sessions between services.

Supporting career development

We’re passionate about developing and supporting our employees and our Organisational Development team exists to create and implement frameworks, programs, experiences and tools unique to Auckland DHB to enable our people to do their life’s best work.

Programmes such as our leadership development program, which has had 220 leaders, complete the program and another 60 are currently enrolled. We’ve just rolled out a management development program, which is open to all aspiring managers, giving both clinical and non-clinical staff the opportunity to learn key leadership skills for their chosen career path.
