About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a senior registered nurse with strong leadership and advanced nursing skills to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. The HPB CNS role is an advanced nursing practice role that encompasses responsibility and coordination of nursing care to this patient group across health care settings both locally and regionally.
You will deliver professional and clinical leadership, patient care co-ordination, education and clinical teaching to patients, whanau and staff. The role covers primary, secondary and tertiary care of complex patients.
Your primary role will be to provide care co-ordination and to ensure patients receive timely interventions. You will act as a point of contact for patients and the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will be a support for patients, whanau, nursing and medical staff on the wards-refer to multi-disciplinary team, organise family meetings as required; assist with discharge planning and communicate plans to patient, whanau, team and local DHBs
To ensure success in the role you will need to have an extensive surgical nursing background and be practicing at a senior level preferably with a postgraduate certificate or diploma in speciality nursing practice.
You will be joining a supportive senior nursing team who are committed to effective/evidence based nursing practice. You will also have the opportunity to work autonomously.

This is Monday to Friday opportunity working 40 hours per week, based at Te Toka Tumai Auckland
About you
