About the Role
The Urgent Response Service is seeking an experienced Consultant psychiatrist to join our team based at Greenlane Clinical Centre in Epsom.
The Urgent Response Service operates 24/7 providing assessment and treatment for those requiring assessment within 72 hours with a well-established service and a team of dedicated and experienced clinicians.
About the Team/Service/ Location
You will be providing urgent and acute psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in collaboration with the service user, their family/whānau and carers and the multidisciplinary Urgent Response Service (URS.)
Urgent Response is a component of the Mental Health Community Acute Service. This role also provides medical leadership to the Urgent Service Response and works in partnership with the URS Clinical Coordinator and Community Mental Health Service leadership.
The role offers variety, and you will be conducting assessments in a range of environments from the base at Greenlane Clinical Centre, the community, and the police custody suite as well as the Emergency Department at the main hospital.
About you
· Candidates must be vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand, holding a current Annual Practising Certificate or eligibility for one. A Post Graduate qualification in Psychiatry is preferred.
