Open to Health New Zealand Senior Nurses who are fluent in Samoan …
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.
About the Role
Talofa lava, Mālō e lelei, Noa'ia, Mauri, Ni Sa Bula Vinaka, Fakaalofa lahi atu, Tālofa, Kia orana, Mālō nī, and warm Pacific greetings.
The Specialty Clinical Nursing team forms part of the Fanau Ola team within the Pacific Health Service at Te Toka Tumai Auckland. This role works in a collaborative and innovative manner alongside colleagues in Pacific Health and across medical services—including Diabetes and Dialysis clinics—to support Pacific patients receiving inpatient or outpatient care.
This is a meaningful opportunity to join a dedicated team that draws on Pacific knowledge, values, and lived experience to empower Pacific communities in achieving and sustaining positive health and wellbeing outcomes.
Our work is closely aligned with the wider goals of the health and disability sector: improving Pacific health outcomes and achieving health equity. We recognise the structural and systemic barriers that continue to affect equitable outcomes for Pacific peoples. Addressing and eliminating these barriers—while enhancing the quality and cultural responsiveness of care across the entire patient journey—is central to our mission.
