About the Role
We have six and twelve month fixed-term Clinical Fellowships available with Auckland City Hospital, Department of Women’s Health commencing in February and August 2026
You will have the opportunity to gain subspecialty experience in a leading tertiary referral unit. We are New Zealand's largest gynaecology oncology centre and a busy tertiary obstetric centre. As a result, you will be involved in the care of many complex cases from around New Zealand. This position is primarily clinical with sessions available for research and teaching.
There will be an opportunity to do 6 months of obstetrics and/or 6 months of gynae-oncology anaesthesia. The latter covers onco-anaesthesia and perioperative medicine. Both positions will also cover acute pain and pre-assessment clinics.

About you
Ideally you are likely to have completed your anaesthesia examinations and be nearing the end of your training or have recently completed a formal anaesthesia training programme, but are seeking additional structured training in obstetrics and gynaecology.
You will be either registered or be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You will be required to provide source verification of your qualifications for your registration application.
