This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a high performing team that provides HR administration and operations support to Resident Medical Officers (RMO) within Health New Zealand.
Te whiwhinga mahi I The opportunity
A key regional role providing leadership to our RMO Workforce Operations team, delivering high quality and innovative support functions that meet the needs of the Auckland region Hospitals and the RMO (junior doctor) workforce
You will work closely with our senior hospital leaders to develop and implement long term planning and strategy for management of the RMO workforce, balancing RMO training, clinical service and individual RMO welfare and needs to inform decision making.
With a focus on continuous improvement you will be key in driving your team to embed regional consistency and aligning with and helping to inform national process and policy for RMO.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako I Skills and experience
· Experience working in operational leadership roles, minimum 4 years
· An understanding of the health sector– ideally experience in hospital operations and/or knowledge of medical workforce training and employment settings in Aotearoa New Zealand.
· Demonstrated ability to generate and deliver to strategic and operational plans
· A continuous improvement outlook with experience in implementing change and improving customer and stakeholder experience
· Demonstrated ability to think through complex issues with a solution focus, develop options and provide advice to senior leaders to inform decision making.
· A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions. This includes an understanding of the significant and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in this role.
· Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
