We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
A rewarding opportunity has now arisen to join the Auckland Hospital & Specialist Dentistry team as a permanent, full-time Specialist Orthodontist (up to 50 hours per week). Applicants for a part-time role also welcome.
You will be joining a supportive team of two part-time orthodontists and a wider, multidisciplinary team of dedicated oral and maxillofacial surgeons, plastic surgeons, dental specialists and dentists.
The orthodontic service is part of Auckland Regional Hospital & Specialist Dentistry providing hospital-based secondary and tertiary level specialist oral health services for people living in the greater Auckland area. The post is based at Middlemore Hospital, South Auckland.
The primary focus of the role is caring for children with cleft lip and palate, and contributing to the care of patients with other craniofacial abnormalities. You will also have opportunities for ongoing professional development, as well as the potential for research involvement.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
Applicants must be eligible for registration with the Dental Council New Zealand as specialist orthodontists. You wil have minimum 2 years post specialisation clinical experience and enjoy working in a team environment.
