About the Role
We are looking for an experienced New Zealand registered Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated, supportive and friendly Adult Speech-Language Therapy team based at Auckland City Hospital. This is a fixed-term, full-time (40 hours / week) position, for a period of 12 months. You will be based on the Neurosurgery ward; however, flexibility is required. You may be required to flex into other areas based on clinical demand. As the ideal candidate you will:
About the Team/Service/ Location
This role is based at Auckland City Hospital. The Speech-language Therapy team is highly skilled and part of the larger Allied Health team in Clinical Support Services. The acute Speech-language Therapy teamwork across a range of specialist areas including stroke, neurology, rehabilitation, respiratory, trauma, general medicine, oncology, haematology, neurosurgery, other surgical wards as required and older person’s health. The team work alongside two other Speech-language Therapy subservices, Critical Care and ORL, in a range of extended scope of practice areas including FEES, VFSS, SVR and tracheostomy management.
