About the role
The primary purpose of the role is to manage the NZ Fontan Registry database, coordinate patient attendance at a research clinic, obtain and validate any missing clinical data and implement, manage and maintain efficient databases. This role is the main point of contact for the NZ Fontan Registry activities both internationally and within the NZ community.
The Australian & New Zealand Fontan Registry collects regular follow-up of children and adults born with the most complex congenital heart disease who undergo a series of operations during childhood to enable them to survive with a single functional ventricle (pumping chamber).
About the Service
Starship Child Health is a dedicated paediatric healthcare service and major teaching centre, providing family centred care to neonates, children and young people throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific. Starship is a part of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora and is the only comprehensive children’s hospital in New Zealand serving a population of approximately 1 million children. Auckland City Hospital is NZ’s largest public tertiary hospital which has strong ties with University of Auckland and provides extensive teaching and training opportunities.
