Palliative Care Paediatrician, Starship Child Health

About the Role
Starship Children’s Hospital, the leading tertiary hospital for child health care in Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand), has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Palliative Care Paediatrician. This is a unique opportunity to work with an experienced and professional Paediatrics team in a broad variety of practice within a tertiary children’s hospital.
The Starship Palliative Care Service provides specialist paediatric palliative care to children with serious illness (life-limiting or life-threatening conditions) and their whānau across the Northern region (Te Toka Tumai, Counties Manukau, Waitemata & Te Tai Tokerau). The Palliative Care Paediatrician is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing children who are patients within the service.
About the Team
Based at Starship Hospital, Grafton, we are a friendly, hard-working and motivated service that provide expert assessments and interventions for children and adolescents and their family/whānau attending the Starship Services. Our team consist of senior medical officers, nurse specialists, a psychotherapist, a social worker and team administration.
