We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.
We are part of Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.

We offer a comprehensive pathology service for Auckland City Hospital, Starship Children’s Hospital, National Women's Health, and the Greenlane Clinical Centre. The Haematology Department at LabPLUS provides laboratory tests for the diagnosis and treatment of blood cell and coagulation disorders. Our highly skilled scientific and technical staff work together with a team of haematologists to provide a quality service (paediatric, neonatal and adult) with in depth clinical interpretation. LabPlus has a strong Core Haematology section with specialist testing being done in Special Haematology, Coagulation and Cell Markers.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our Haematology team in a full-time role at LabPlus, Auckland City Hospital. This position would be suitable for a newly registered MLS as well as those with more experience. Staff will gain experience working in the Haematology laboratory and will take part in the 24/7 roster as experience allows. This is an opportunity to work with New Zealand’s largest and most highly specialised hospitalbased laboratory service.
