Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Would you like to join a team of skilled and committed mental health professionals in supporting our service users/tangata whai I te ora to develop a wide range of skills to support their recovery journey?
Join the Assertive Community Outreach Service (ACOS), an intensive community mental health team based in Pt Chevalier, Auckland. We aim to provide a responsive service to tangata whai i te ora who require more flexibility and intensity of support to meet their recovery needs.
The Community Support Worker role requires flexibility, initiative, and knowledge of community resources and agencies. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the clinical team, providing planned support to service users and their families with a focus on recovery principles. You will have a relevant tertiary qualification, a strong commitment to teamwork, best practice and the empowerment of mental health consumers.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 10 days per fortnight on a Monday to Sunday roster. It is expected you would be working one or two weekend days per month, as agreed. A full and clean driver licence is required.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
The successful candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively with ACOS clinicians to enable a range of therapeutic treatment options, case management and intensive support within the Assertive Community Outreach Service model. You will be able to provide a comprehensive range of recovery focused therapeutic mental health support and be able to provide active collaboration, planning and liaison with other services.
Minimum requirements:
· NZQA Certificate in Mental Health (Level 4)
· NZ Driver licence
· Minimum two-year experience in mental health setting
· Able to work with electronic clinical records.
