MRT Clinical Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Radiographer with experience in Computed Tomography for this specialist role

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

Our Radiology Department provides Radiological services to our adult patients from two sites – Auckland City Hospital and Greenlane Clinical Centre. 

In this role you will work autonomously and lead an MRT team committed to providing a high standard of service to Te Toka Tumai patients. You will work closely the other Clinical specialists collaboratively to ensure high quality consistent service across the organisation. You will be responsible for monitoring patient volumes and service delivery, reviewing compliance to processes and protocols, quality assurance and training of staff. You will work in partnership with the Clinical Lead Radiologists and will be expected to work closely with other members of the wider multidisciplinary team.

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week reporting to the Team Leader MRT.

Key tasks include:

• Provide Clinical and technical leadership, monitoring standards of practice
• Coordinate day to day operations and service delivery to Auckland City Hospital Emergency Department, Acute Planning Unit and wider hospital.
• Champion effective teamwork and collaborative relationships.
• Actively monitor and manage patient volumes to achieve Ministry of health targets.
• Review, maintenance and development of appropriate processes in conjunction with Team Leader and other Clinical Specialists
• Regular review of clinical protocols with responsibility for compliance
• Responsibility for Quality Assurance within the area
• On-going training and education for staff and students.
• Ability to work collaboratively with members of the wider multidisciplinary

As the ideal person for the role you will be a registered MRT with New Zealand MRT Board with a current Annual Practising Certificate and will have at least 3 years MRT experience preferably within Computed Tomography.
