Are you a registered midwife looking for an exciting and challenging role in a supportive environment? Do you love coordinating maternity care while building relationships then this is the role for you!
We are looking for midwives who are focused on supporting and delivering the best possible outcomes for women who engage with our services. Like the rest of our team, you will be called to this specialised role by your passion to work collaboratively, and make a difference through culturally responsive care and professional accountability.
You will be working within the Community Midwifery team, based in the Walk in Centre. The Walk in Centre is responsible for the triaging and coordinating of referrals to Obstetric and Physician clinics in a safe timely manner. Referrals to our Community Midwifery team are also triaged through this clinic along with providing a Walk in Centre service for women and whanau looking to engage for maternity care. It is a busy, varied role so time management and computer skills are a must for applicants. Clear communication and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is important. The hours are Monday –Friday with weekend shift(s) once every 6 weeks.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
We are looking for:
· Preferably two year’s postgraduate experience as a midwife or relevant experience in the health sector
· Current New Zealand midwifery registration or be eligible for registration with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand
· A current Annual Practicing Certificate
· A current New Zealand driving licence
Strong computer and technology skills
Work well within a multidisciplinary team
