We are currently seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist for Hāpai Ora, a well-established Early Psychosis service based in Epsom, Auckland.
Hāpai Ora, the early psychosis intervention team of Te Toka Tumai (ADHB) offers an innovative and youth friendly service to tāngata whai i te ora up to age 30, that are experiencing a first episode of psychosis.
At a time when a rangatahi (young person) feels most vulnerable, the Hāpai Ora team works together to support our rangatahi and their whānau through their journey in moving forward with their lives.
Our team is made up of experienced mental health professionals including Specialist Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses and Occupational Therapists as well as Cultural Advisors (Maori/Pacifica) , Peer and Rainbow Community Support Specialists and an Employment Consultant imbedded within the team
We provide a range of high-quality therapeutic programmes with a strong multi-disciplinary focus. Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
To be successful in this role you will be vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand with a current Practising Certificate or be eligible for registration. (Please note, if you are an overseas specialist, you will be required to provide source verification of your qualifications for your registration application. You will also have experience and interest in providing a high-quality service to service users experiencing moderate to severe mental ill-health in a community setting and a commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori is essential in this role.
You will also hold a full and clean driver’s license as this role involves some community work.
