Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We have the opportunity for an experienced New Zealand registered Social Worker with a current annual practicing certificate to work in our dedicated and supportiveStarship community team.
Our nursing, allied health and technical staff are responsible for delivering a range of health care services, including well child/Tamariki ora, child development and acute and long-term medical care. Alongside the breadth of social work services delivered, the social work team also provides Noho Ãhuru Healthy Homes assessments.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position until May 2025and although your office is based out of Greenlane Clinical Centre most of the work is delivered to children, young people, their families and whānau in their home, school and community settings.
We are committed to delivering whānau-centered care that focuses on the health and well-being of children and their whānau. Getting to know our communities, working closely with them, and removing inequities and barriers to health care for priority populations are key drivers for us each day. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality and effective whānau-centered services.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have:
· New Zealand registration as a Social Worker with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
· A clean, full, New Zealand driver's license
· An overriding passion for improving outcomes for whānau and children
· 2+ years of Social Work clinical experience
· Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in an interdisciplinary bicultural environment
· Effective time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
