Working as a Renal Research Fellow
Nephrology encompasses care of patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, dialysis and renal transplantation. The Renal Research Fellow position is available at Counties Manukau Health, and offers a unique opportunity to work in international and local nephrology trials.
The Research Fellow position also involves some clinical Nephrology cover- including clinics, haemodialysis unit cover, inpatient work and taking part in the Renal Registrar out of hours on call roster and Medicine Registrar night roster.
For Advanced Trainees – three months of the run may be accredited towards Nephrology. For Basic Trainees - three months of the run may be accredited to core Nephrology and three months to non-core Medicine (supervised research) as approved by local DPE . Counties Manukau Health offers a structured clinical teaching programme and teaching opportunities; and is affiliated with the University of Auckland School of Medicine.
Renal Research Fellow job
This run is six months in length however applicants may express preference for a double run - i.e. 12 months. · RACP Basic or Advanced Trainee
· Eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Support and assistance with this process can be provided
