Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Radiology Nurses are the backbone of the Radiology team at ADHB - always reliable and great team players. We are looking for Registered Nurses to join our team working alongside other senior Nurses, MRT’s and Radiologists in providing a patient centric approach during complex interventional procedures in the theatre environment (including hybrid).
We provide a service to both inpatients and outpatients from three of our sites – Auckland City Hospital, Starship Children’s Health and Greenlane Clinical Centre. The department services an active specialist referral base with tertiary, regional and national services. There is an AGFA PACS system with a virtually filmless environment.
It’s never a dull day, with a variety of day stay and CT, assisting with biopsies and a variety of other procedures. This is also an exciting opportunity to work with the clot retrieval (PSI) team as part of the on-call nursing roster. In this role, you will be working full time (40 hours per week) with most shifts being Monday to Friday with on-call commitments and occasional weekend shift in addition on roster basis.

As the ideal candidate for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:
- Registration with the nursing council of New Zealand and have a current Practising Certificate
- Preferably 2 years current acute medical/surgical/theatre/procedural experience
- Flexible and keen to learn
- Be able to communicate with confidence
- Have the ability to prioritise work and take proactive approach to manage your time and workload.
- Adapt quickly and easily and display genuine commitment
- A positive attitude with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A strong commitment to quality healthcare
