New Zealand has a unique and successful model of care for maternity services which offers excellent learning experiences and a chance to develop new skills. Within that model, Auckland District Health Board is at the forefront of clinical practice expertise. Our National Women's Hospital at Auckland DHB is one of the largest maternity hospitals in Australasia, with approximately 6,500 babies born each year. We are a tertiary referral centre and the national referral centre for babies needing specialist surgery or medical interventions. We also provide primary maternity care to women in the central Auckland area.
We take great pride in the professional development of our midwives and can offer you clear pathways to learn and develop professionally across a range of speciality midwifery practice including clinical expertise, education, research and leadership.
We have full-time and part-time rostered positions available in our maternity services which include Maternity Assessment, High Risk (Antenatal & Postnatal) Delivery Unit and associates areas.
