We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.
We are part of Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.
We are committed to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and providing culturally safe care. Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
- Opportunities available for permanent, part time and full time positions
- Working fully rostered shifts, Monday – Sunday.
- Based at Auckland City Hospital
Ward 71 is a busy inpatient ward which provides care for renal medical, hepatology, renal and liver transplant patients. Playing a key role in the multidisciplinary team you will be joining nursing staff skilled in both Medical and Surgical nursing, who understand that fostering a caring and supportive environment is incredibly important to their patients, giving them the best opportunity at recovery.
This is your chance to further develop your surgical and medical nursing practice.
If successful, you will be working within a supportive team environment. On-going education is facilitated by our experienced nurse educators.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You will be a passionate Nurse who has New Zealand registration or be eligible for registration from NZ Nursing Council, with strong commitment to quality healthcare .You must be able to work Monday to Sunday, fully rostered shifts and have 1-2 years post registration experience in an acute surgical hospital setting would also be advantageous.
