We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.
We are part of Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels. Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We currently have vacancies in our 22 bed Acute Cardiac Care Unit which covers Auckland but also reaches out Nationally. If you have 12 months post graduate experience and are interested in being part of a team committed to delivering fast paced, acute cardiac care then we would love to hear from you. Our unit provides care for patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome; Heart Rhythm issues; Structural heart problems and those requiring Heart Transplants.
We are very fortunate to work together, as part of a specialised unit, within our cardiovascular directorate and have close working relationships with our Cardiac Investigation Unit; Cardio thoracic and Vascular wards and Cardiovascular Intensive Care unit. As well being able to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care for patients, this environment also provides great opportunities for career progression for our team.
