We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy Aseptic Production Unit team based at Auckland City Hospital. The role is full time, fixed term for up to 12 months.
You will be working Monday to Friday (40 hours a week) working rostered shifts between 6:30am and 6pm with some weekend and public holiday rosters.
You will be responsible for dispensing and compounding cytotoxic, hazardous and investigational medicinal products according to the Good Manufacturing Practice standards. You will ensure that correct procedures are followed as we constantly strive to deliver high standards of care to our patients.
Ideally, you will be an NZQA level 5 pharmacy technician who is efficient, accurate and helpful and respectful to staff, patients and visitors. Enthusiastic team work, excellent English communication skills, effective time management skills, flexibility, as well as basic computer skills would make you the perfect candidate for this role. Experience in a busy hospital dispensary and competent in ePharmacy, Toniq and automated systems such as repacking and blister packing robots will be advantagoes but not essential.
We are more than happy to consider technicians who are working towards their Level 5 NZQA certificate and due to finish the courses by the end of the year.
