Renal Physician - Renal Service
Auckland District Health Board is seeking a qualified Nephrologist.
Please note: this is a 0.4 FTE role (16 hours per week)
The post is open to medically qualified applicants who should hold the FRACP or equivalent qualification and be eligible for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.
The Auckland District Health Board renal department provides a clinical service to the central Auckland region. We provide haemodialysis services for 350 patients which includes an active and expanding home haemodialysis service. The peritoneal dialysis unit provides care for 60 patients. The Renal Transplant Unit provides services for 9 DHBs and performs around 130 transplants each year.
The successful candidates will be encouraged to develop their own interests in the service and this would be discussed/negotiated at the time of interview. However an interest in peritoneal dialysis would be an advantage.
