Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Kia ora an opportunity exists for an experienced Psychiatrist to join our exciting and innovative multidisciplinary team – at Hāpai Ora.
We are seeking a dynamic Psychiatrist to work 0.8 FTE within this specialized multi-disciplinary service. Preferably the successful candidate will be a dually trained SMO.
Hāpai Ora is the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Early Psychosis Intervention Service, which is community based and provides the provision of service for 0 – 30y tāngata whai i te ora/clients, their Whānau/Family and supports.
You must have an interest and preferably experience in early psychosis intervention.
Hāpai Ora provides consultation, assessments and a range of therapeutic supports in collaboration with tāngata whai i te ora, their Whānau and local communities. This is achieved through the assessment and management of the complex health needs of our tāngata whai i te ora, with the provision of effectively planned care that supports them to manage their overall healthcare needs.

You will contribute to the delivery of allowing you to thrive professionally in providing your clinical expertise and knowledge to most areas of rangatahi/young people's mental health. Hāpai Ora has a strong commitment to collaboration between rangatahi, Whānau and other services.
There are also opportunities for interagency liaison, training, and to contribute to on-going service development.
This is a permanent, part time (0.8 FTE) position and based at Hāpai Ora – Epsom

If successful, you will requirement to participate on the adult mental health Consultant on call roster. You must be vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (www.mcnz.org.nz ) with a current Annual Practising Certificate or eligible for the same.
