LabPLUS is an IANZ accredited medical laboratory and is one of New Zealand's premier laboratories. LabPLUS are part of the state-owned Auckland District Health Board. We offer a comprehensive pathology service for Auckland City Hospital, Starship Children’s Hospital, National Women's Health, and the Greenlane Clinical Centre. The Specialist Chemical Pathology department encompasses Special Biochemistry, Endocrinology, Trace Metals and Chromatography and provides laboratory services for 3 national programmes (Bowel Screening, Newborn Screening and Antenatal Screening).
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
The position is full time working rostered shifts from Monday to Sunday.
This role is based primarily in the Chromatography and Special Biochemistry teams but there may also be a requirement to work in other sections of the department.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
Applicants will need to possess excellent organisational, computer and communication skills and be flexible with working hours. The role requires a person with a skillset including attention to detail, excellent time management and the ability to work closely with others. Recent experience in Chemical Pathology covering a range of automated systems, manual methodologies and specialised techniques is preferred. You must be currently registered as a medical laboratory Scientist by the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (for details, visit www.mscouncil.org.nz) and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
