CVICU/HDU leads New Zealand in providing specialised nursing care to adult patients in the Auckland area. Our world renowned clinicians provide challenging patient care situations everyday, but you can rest assured you are working with some of the best in the business!

Based at the technologically advanced Auckland City Hospital, this high paced environment will have you exposed to interesting and stimulating cases providing care for valve and graft surgery, IABP support, LVAD, ECMO and a full transplant service. We also trial some of the most cutting edge technology for ventilation and humidification.

We provide a 24 hour service covering both elective and acute admissions, with patient stays ranging from 24 hours to a few weeks for those who remain dependant on our care.

Personal time is important and Auckland City is the ultimate hub for variety. This is evident in the 1.3 million people that live here and the huge and diverse landscape it covers.
